I’ve scene things you people wouldn’t believe:

a Chaplin film
America America
The Godfather Part 2
The Legend Of 1900

And now let's add...

[the you-know-what moment's around 4:00 but take it from the top for the full effect and stick with it wink]

...in a little tangential footnote.

I was 12 seeing POTA at the cinema and even though word was out about the ending, there were still plenty of goosebumps. An odd fit in this thread but a fit nonetheless.

Not sure if this counts, as Lady Liberty's appearance is brief, miniature, and not in-person. But I do believe the spirt of this scene fully qualifies.

Breathtaking cinematography. I love this film, and especially the opening.

Avalon (1990)

I think that may be the movie I referenced earlier. I couldn't remember the title.

Spirit, indeed. I brought up Avalon, both score and film--particularly flashbacks like this one, MM--in a recent Zoom. Mr. Newman took his Ragtime ambiance and transferred it beautifully here, culminating for me in the railroad stop/Whammer scene of The Natural.

Doesn't "The President's Analyst" include a brief shot of James Coburn in the torch? I didn't know they still let people into the torch as late as that.

Sometimes it’s scored, sometimes it’s unscored. Either way, it's powerful.

Anything goes since this has nothing to do with the soundtrack forum.
