Even Mortal Engines and Battle Angel Alita are fantastic scores!

There are good (also really good) scores by Holkenborg, not get why some people are so bias about him.

Not trying to change people minds.

Most people probably just find offense that he was a DJ and worked in electronic music before breaking into film scoring. I don't really see how different he is than someone like David Arnold, who has also dabbled into electronic, pop collaborative producing, and remixes during his career.

I like Junkie’s stuff ( freakin’ LOVE Fury Road!!) and was looking forward to this. Have to say on a first listen, it’s certainly not the usual full on sound he does but…meh! I was a bit disappointed and it seemed to be over before I really noticed anything much. Need to give it another go though. Certainly nice to hear something a bit different from him but…..

So I bought the 4k/Blu-ray set and loved the film! It's my second favorite film of the year second only to TOP GUN: MAVERICK. The score is lovely too.

Well Henry…. Inspired by your post I finally watched this.
I went in with trepidation as most of the reviews I read weren’t great and I wasn’t bowled over by the score (although I was warming up to it with a few more plays)… but I loved it! What a great experience this was. I see why a lot of folk didn’t go for it as the pace and lack of real build up is at odds with most of today’s films, but I was totally sucked in by the whole thing. Stunning cinematography and great performances and, what might seem a slight story, really gets to you if you buy into it.The music was great in it as well. Very understated but used REALLY well. Definately a 4k I’ll be buying and a soundtrack I’ll be playing more.

I don't like to gush over movies because I'm afraid it will let people down, but I'm glad you enjoyed it too my friend.smileI also think you will enjoy the 4k disc, I think it's a demo disc actually with a great sound mix.
