I don't know the url you're pulling the photo from, but if it's from another business site, you should save the image to your computer and then upload it to an image hoster ( i use https://imgbb.com )
so that you aren't stealing that other site's bandwidth.

When I upload an image to imgbb I get this with the full linked code

You then trim that down to just i.ibb.co/njRXKdK/Mepris-alt.jpg

Then bracket it with the [ img ] code.

voila

OK, so I bought 'Flight...' and Intrada's complete 'Patton' (still in print and both now completely replacing my FSM Patton album), and Vampirella (because Joel Goldsmith doesn't get the credit he deserves).

For the information of those in the UK who have ordered PHOENIX, mine arrived today. Only a quick sample listen and there's a real improvement in the sound over the original version smile

Yes, this sounds great--I particularly love having all the full readings of the theme for Jimmy Stewart that only shows up briefly at the end of the main title in the FSM version. It's a wonderful, moving theme--I'm so excited to finally have this score in complete form. When we did the FSM release it was squeezed onto Patton because at the time we had no idea that there would ever be another opportunity to release some of these scores--Phoenix was considered too risky to devote an entire album to and it seemed that putting it on with Patton would be the only chance to get any of the music out there. So I'm glad to see a full album devoted to this great score at last...

I always liked that part in the music and didn't even realize it was a recurring theme (or maybe I noticed when I watched the film, but if so I forgot). How many more instances are there of that theme throughout the score?

I believe it shows up in Desolate Desert, Guilty, Cobb's Demise, Bird Bait, Towns Is Back, Towns' Anger, Let's Get Back to Work, Sick Camel, Stupid. It's not at all a heroic theme. It really carries the character's psychological baggage. So by the time we get to where Dorfman's big secret comes out, the theme all but disappears for the balance of the film, including the daring flight where you would rightly assume it would dominate. But that portion of the film is about escaping the desert, so its theme takes over with numerous variations. It's almost as if the desert, as a character, has allowed them to escape its clutches with heroic music treatments, rather than Towns as pilot being the hero. Each man is small compared to the desert.

Really enjoying this score at the moment. Still love the film as much now as I did when I was kid!
Such a great cast. I noticed from watching just recently that John Barry regular Albert Woodbury did the orchestrations.

Does anyone know if Intrada is planning to restock this album?

I stupidly waited too long before deciding to buy it and a missed my chance.

This score is pretty incredible and I have to get it.
