It's strange to think that it was 35 years ago this weekend when his masterpiece Brazil opened here in Seattle.
He's one of the great mad directors of all. Despite never making an all-out film for the ages (even Brazil has its flaws), he's remarkable for his willingness to go out there and try for new cinematic imagination. He's 80 now, but I still hope he has at least one more movie to give us.
