As usual, nothing for me. I did buy the first Tex Avery release, & then I realized I don't watch cartoons anymore. I suppose Bedlam/The Ghost Ship is for the Halloween market.

Just in case that Warner read this thread, a short list of the sort of thing I'd like:

The Mask Of Fu Manchu (1932)
Gold Diggers Of 1933 (1933)
The Roaring Twenties (1939)
3 Godfathers (1948)
The Big Sky (1952)
Ivanhoe (1952)
Scaramouche (1952)
Phantom of the Rue Morgue (1954) It doesn't have to be 3D
Teahouse Of The August Moon (1956)
Land Of The Pharaohs (1956)
Helen Of Troy (1956)
She (1965) Hammer
The Last Of Sheila (1973)
Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid (1973) I can't believe there's no Blu-ray for this one yet.

& about 100 other titles.

I would also throw The Adventures of Don Juan into the mix.

Mary Stevens, M.D.

Seriously? Has anyone even heard of this film? It didn't even get a VHS release.

Yes, you can never second guess what Warner will release (I'm also surprised by Eye of the Devil). Only Children Of The Damned for me from the October releases, I had the DVD set with both Village & Children Of The Damned.

At least EYE OF THE DEVIL had a previous Archive Collection DVD release. And it's known in these parts for the FSM release of its Gary McFarland score. But a Blu-ray for MARY STEVENS, M.D.? Come on.

I hope Eye of the Devil comes from a better print, or that some restorative work was done, because the print used on the DVD didn't look great in a few bits. For the most part, it was okay, but a few bits not.

There's one thing you can be sure of with an Warner Archive release, & that's that it will look superb. The picture will be pristine clean, & look as good as it can. They've probably gone back to the original negatives or used a newly made fine grain pos. I do sometimes wonder about their choice of titles to release, considering the mountain of great films they own, but there's no disputing the quality of the product.

I’m guessing that Mary Stevens, MD (which I had never heard of before) was fast tracked primarily for archival purposes, which is probably how we’ve ended up with titles like Kentucky Kernels and even Canary Row (I’ve over at HTF that the negative was in bad shape before the Blu-ray) getting released through the Archive.

Is the Western world ready for Mary Stevens, lady doctor?

It steams me that Warner originally gave us a DVD of both VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED and CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED on a single disc. Now, on blu-ray, which could EASILY fit both films on a single disc, they force us to buy two discs, the greedy bastards.

Apparently November’s slate is up on a site called ImportCDs:

Fury (1936)
Ladies They Talk About
Lullaby of Broadway
National Velvet
The Thin Man Goes Home
Party Girl
Some Came Running
The Last of Sheila
