Wow! I just replayed this Cd, on Silva. Everything about it is first-rate, from the selection to sound quality to arrangements and solos. Can't recommend highly enough. Tracks include suites or themes from Bullitt, Taking of Pelham 123, Modesty Blaise, Walk on the Wild Side, Touch of Evil, Man With the Golden Arm, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Soul Bossa Nova, The Gauntlet, Cinderella Liberty, Dirty Harry, and a Dudley Moore tribute.

It is an excellent album.

My one complaint had to do with the production. The open-room overhead mic sound works well for certain types of music, but IMO not with tight funk grooves such as Pelham and Bullitt. That is not the band's fault, of course.

This dates from a period during which Ms. Birri would get Silva releases for free. Those were the days...
