I have also noticed this! I have been hunting down Philippe Sarde CD's, and not only have I noticed they are scarce, but many of them are priced such as you stated. It almost seems like an error or an oversight. I mean, this is serious gouging! But I would like to point out that at this present time, S.A.E. has a copy of Sarde's TESS / THE TENANT CD for $24.95 (which by the way is not a bad deal, considering the CD came out around the year 2000 and may be well out of print, I believe, and it is a really fine score!!). And right now Amazon has a copy of this same CD for a mere $985.00. My only suggestion would be -- stick to our friends at Intrada, S.A.E. etc if you can. I would have to trust their price choices to be consistent with the market values. By the way, S.A.E. seems to get in lots of Morricone ... I keep checking their site for more Sarde - but he doesn't seem to be well in stock there. Oh well -Rick O.

I've noticed this, also. I first noticed it perhaps in March and April, early weeks of the pandemic. I think Amazon has cut back on selling second-hand cds, but that does not explain the ghastly price of 902.81. Fortunately, there are other places to buy used cds.

Yeah, this has been discussed before. You read down the list on Amazon Marketplace & the prices go from reasonable to expensive to totally bonkers (& the same to a lesser extent on eBay). At least we have a name for it now, Bookjacking. But who goes past those normal prices & opts for the crazy prices? People who absolutely desperately need something immediately and are either too wealthy to care, or are buying it on a corporate account. That's my guess.
