Please consider a pledge to help us with the restoration. Watch for exciting news on a special bonus feature spotlighting the wonderful music in this delightful film. Thank you!
Heinz Roemheld's music was the best thing about this film. Any chance it will include the boys' 78 rpm record version of the story? I still remember hearing this on the radio when I was 7...
And - coincidence - I was researching and playing the two songs: Darlene and Dreamer's Cloth (both by Lester Lee and Bob Russell) just a few days ago.
These are Jan 1952 recordings by Dick Haymes with Nelson Riddle but it appears they were not commercially released (the only disc image I could trace carried the heading Decca Sample Copy; Not for sale)
There will be plenty of goodies on this set! Fans of the film and the score will be very pleased! BUT please know right up front there are no surviving tracks of Heinz' wonderful score. Boo Hoo. Next to THE FULLER BRUSH MAN, this is one my favorite Roemhelds.

Help us preserve and restore priceless live TV footage of Bud and Lou meeting The Frankenstein Monster AND Creature from the Black Lagoon. Please check out today's update on the Kickstarter campaign for more information!
I watched this film over and over again when I was a small boy back in the early eighties, I haven't seen it since, I should check it out again someday.
JACK AND THE BEANSTALK was inspired by Lou's two year old daughter, Chris Costello. While reading the classic story to her, Lou felt the timeless tale would make a delightful vehicle for Abbott and Costello's many young fans.
Generations have now grown up enjoying this classic film and we are SO happy that you are helping us to restore and preserve it for future generations.
