What are you guys doing this Halloween? This is my second favorite time of the year, I love Halloween. I'm just going to stay home and watch horror films. Maybe I'll leave some candy outside for the kids, I don't really care if one of them takes it all.

Just staying at home, as work allows me to. Love the season spirit, Ichabod Crane, evil trees, etc. .

Going to play more Pumpkin Jack (new release on Steam), though not necessarily because of the season.

I'm going to be doing pretty much the same as Henry.
Settle in with some old horror movies and eat some junk food.

I doubt I'll be giving out candy, though.
Normally I would, but ain't nothing normal these days.

I'll spend a cozy evening at home watching Svengoolie on METV then whip out the Frankenstein trilogy on DVD. I never get trick-or-treaters since I'm on the 4th floor of my apartment building. LOL.

I'm looking forward to Hallowe'en this year.

As an escape from the horror.

Hey Henry with my work schedule I really don't have the time or energy to get into the holiday spirit. I try though. But I only manage to watch one scary films this October. This year it was JAWS. I have a bunch of others I would like to watch but Halloween will be over before I get to them. Probably won't watch any others.

Same with Christmas. This will be my fourth year in a row working Christmas day and actually all the federal holidays. I probably won't do anything for the Christmas season though I use to love to decorate for the holidays.

Hi solium! I'm sorry to hear you have to work. If there wasn't a pandemic going around you'd be welcome to come over any time my friend!smile

For past Halloweens, we have gotten maybe one group of trick or treaters, and I don't expect the numbers will improve during a pandemic. We made sure to stock up on some candy just in case . . .

As for Halloween, the plan is to watch a scary movie or two and play some horror board games like this:

There will also undoubtedly be some poor eating and/or drinking decisions.

We're celebrating at home, I'm going to buy some fresh cheese curds and make homemade poutine and watch Ghostbusters.

I might try and track down some Halloween kisses too (the molasses toffee treats, so good).

Our locality is going ahead with trick or treating despite the CDC's recommendation to not, but we're not doing it in either direction. We did a spooky trick or treat hunt in our back yard for our kid after dark, so she got some candy and goodies from us. Tomorrow night we're doing a Halloween "slumber party," and watching some of the more classic specials we've put off (Peanuts, Garfield, etc.) and eating lots of spooky themed junk food. On the night itself, we're streaming The Witches (1990s version) with some friends over Zoom, and then likely something else after the kid goes to bed.

Maybe I should watch (the late) Diana Rigg in Mother Love. It's spooky.

Ripe for mis-interpretation, this.

But we know you only meant it one way! smile

Horror/Halloween/seasonal movies all the way!

So far I've watched:

The Guest
The Ritual
The Addams Family
The Exorcist
The Shining
Haunting of Hill House
Haunting of Bly Manor
Sleepy Hollow

Soon will watch a Halloween (Michael Myers) marathon, Garfield's Halloween Adventure, The Adventures of Ichabod Crane and Mr. Toad, The Haunted Mansion, Goosebumps, Casper, Hotel Transylvania, Phantasm, The Halloween Tree, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Prolly won't have time to watch all of those, but that's what I'll aim for!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! smile

Just went out shopping for poutine supplies. Not a Halloween Kiss in sight, maybe I will find some tomorrow. I hope so.

First time since 1973 that I'll be wearing a mask.

To slightly digress Graham ever since we had the lockdown in the UK in March, every time I put a mask on prior to entering a shop, I've felt like I'm going to rob it! Each and every time I'm thinking Sweeney, where only a stocking mask and a sawn off shotgun will complete the picture. Fortunately our banking these days is done online otherwise that really WOULD feel odd.
