The film will be out in about 2 months... in the meantime, here's the trailer.

Not sure what to think. I like Gibson and Goggins, but it'll be interesting to see if they can make this idea work - it seems like a one-note joke on the face of it.

Definitely seems like a joke trailer from SNL.

And the snot-nosed crime lord is giving me RoboCop 2 flashbacks...and not in a positive way.

This honestly looks great. What a neat spin on genre tropes.

The filmmakers Ian and Esh are friends of mine so I’ve seen an early cut of the film. It has a great deadpan funny tone and both Mel and Walton are great in it. The temp score had a great Spaghetti Western quality that worked very well. It’s a clever spin on the Santa story with some really enjoyable moments. Goggins is hilariously pathetic.

It's a great trailer and I'm really excited about this film.

I just watched the excellent DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE on Netflix, and that suddenly made me in a mood for more intense Gibson. This might be it.

Someone must really like Morricone's Rabbia e Tarantella smile

I just reviewed Mondo Boys' previous score for SHE DIES TOMORROW (as mentioned in a separate thread):

So yes, my expectations for this suddenly rised considerably.

Amazon is currently selling Dragged Across Concrete on blu-ray for $4.99.

and it all works pretty well in the film as well... especially Do You Hear What I Hear...

and closer to the climax there is a sequence, which starts just with (electronic) pulse and then builds until the SFX are quite beautifully incorporated with the score just as it was one.
