This is probably my favourite score of the year. The themes are magnificent and every single cue fits the film like a glove. The CD is just a perfect representation too; been playing it a hell of a lot in recent times.
Have to say I'm staggered the new FSM article with a wrap of noteworthy scores of the year doesn't even give it a mention. How could you overlook this?
I am loving this score, how often these days do we get a killer main theme for Oboe?! Not a lot would be my guess. Anyways, the score is a bit of jaunty fun and cheers me right up. I was able to pick up the Milan physical release and I am glad I did. Try the title cue, Fields of London, or School Escape; it will be well worth your time.
Yet another one of the bigger, more pleasant surprises from last year.
Also another soundtrack I never would have given a second look to if not for the infectiously positive WOM here. I don't have Netflix, so this would have sailed right past me.
I listened to it a few weeks ago and very much enjoyed it, lovely album. Just for info, they have been filming the sequel near to me in Elstead Surrey u.k in late december 2021/janauary 2022 so hopefully will be released this year.
The soundtrack CD is currently under $5 at Deep Discount.
It was but I ordered it on Wednesday and they cancelled it so YMMV.
They cancelled one of the titles in my initial order, even though it was labeled as in stock. It was still listed as available on the site after I got the cancellation notice, so I ordered it again.
Two days later, I just got the ship confirmation email for it.
Enola Holmes is still listed as available and in stock. If you really want it, you may wanna try ordering it again.
