OUTER SPACE---there may be additional evidence that Tom Cruise and writer/director Doug Liman will work with Elon Musk's SpaceX and NASA to film a movie in outer space. Space Shuttle Almanac obtained the official manifest for the SpaceX Dragon Axiom flight to the International Space Station in October, 2021. Both Cruise and Liman are confirmed to be passengers with astronaut Cdr. Michael Lopez-Alegria as the pilot.
The Cruise/Liman movie might be related to LUNA PARK, a movie about renegade space workers who go to the Moon to steal an energy source that was reported in 2015 to be under development by Liman with Cruise interested in it. There has not been any news about LUNA PARK since then.

"So its confirmed that @CommanderMLA is flying the @Axiom_Space @SpaceX #CrewDragon tourist mission with Director @DougLiman & Tom Cruise. One seat still to be filled. They are to launch in October, 2021."

CASSIAN ANDOR---the Disney+ prequel tv series to ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY will start filming in October. Director Tony Gilroy has left the series due to coronavirus concerns about flying from New York to filming in England and has been replaced by Toby Haynes (BLACK MIRROR).

STUNTMAN---Ryan Gosling will star in this untitled David Leitch movie about stuntmen. Leitch is a former stuntman.

SUPERGIRL---CW announced that the upcoming Season 6 will be the last season.

STAR TREK---director Jonathan Frakes said he wanted Q to be in the NEXT GENERATION movies, "That was my pitch. Well, from my good fortune of getting involved with the movies. I kept saying, 'When is our our finest nemesis is going to be in the movies?' I’m still surprised that wasn’t so."
Q actor John De Lancie said, "Yeah. I have no idea what the story is there." De Lancie added if Q was in the movies, he wanted to explore the Q Continuum, "I actually—which I’m not going to tell people, even now—I did create a backstory on that, which would have been really interesting. But I think it’s actually someplace that would require a great deal of imagination, and I think the audience would go. So I wish that they had gone there."

ELF 2---James Caan said a sequel to the 2003 Christmas movie is unlikely although he wanted to, "...do (a sequel) and I thought, 'Oh my god, I finally got a franchise movie, I could make some money, let my kids do what the hell they want to do.' "
Caan added that Will Ferrell did not get along with director Jon Favreau ,"The director and Will didn't get along very well… So, Will wanted to do it, he didn't want the director, and he had it in his contract, it was one of those things."

9-1-1: LONE STAR---Liv Tyler is not returning for Season 2 due to coronavirus travel-related concerns.

TRIVIA---Blake Edwards' GUNN was a movie based on his classic PETER GUNN tv series. Three actresses in GUNN, Sherry Jackson and twins Alyce and Rhae Andrece, played androids on the original STAR TREK.

In GUNN, Sherry Jackson played Sam, who tries to bed Peter Gunn.

In STAR TREK, Jackson played android Andrea in the episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"

In GUNN, twins Alyce and Rhae Andrece (front row, center) played hookers on The Ark, a high-class floating brothel that featured twins.

In STAR TREK, Alyce Andrece played androids Alice #1-250 and Rhae Andrece played androids Alice #251-500 in the episode "I, Mudd".

The android actresses were cast so Craig Stevens would appear less robotic.

Just the other day I was wondering why Q was never in a movie. As a kid, I figured it was a foregone conclusion.

I think they should just call the film TOM CRUISE IN SPACE at this point. I'll go to see that.

RE: WandaVision- WTF did I just watch???

RE: Cruise in Space- Remember the Challenger accident? NASA was pressured into pushing a public image space flight was easy and routine and so we killed a teacher in a publicity stunt? I mean Jesus Christ SpaceX, you’ve only had one successful crew mission to date. Challenger was the 25th attempted launch of the Space Shuttle.

I have low tolerance for pretentious film making in my old age. Or as they call it nowadays, "subverting my expectations".

As annoying as I find Will most of the time, I did enjoy "Elf" vey much, and Debney's score is good fun. Why can that awful series of Saw films never end, but a sequel to this is unlikely?
