I recently revisited this wonderful 1977 BBC production and was reminded of its beautiful and evocative score. What a shame it is that it has never seen a release.

I think that there is a strike against composers named Kenyon.

Some kind soul has crafted and uploaded a suite of sorts from this production to YouTube. It should prove helpful for those unfamiliar with this work.

This is a hol grail for me, I remember see it when it first aired in 1977(?) on my local PBS station in Seattle.

It was an outstanding production from the BBC and the score is really creepy and yet beautiful.

Someday I'll figure out how to clear the soundtrack or just god damn do a new recording of it.

It deserves to be released

Loving what I'm seeing on here. Great production. Stopped Doctor Who having a vampire story that year 'cause they thought the bigger production would feel like it was being lampooned by it! Of course it did get made eventually...

Oh and btw Ford I LOVE Hawk the Slayer. Got it not long back, quite a bit after the release, and loving it.

Seems Emrys-Roberts was already over age 50 before he commenced writing music for television.
The BBC aparently hired him out of nowhere in 1975 to do POLDARK.
