LEGO STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL---Disney+/LEGO holiday special is connected to the original 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special and is set after THE RISE OF SKYWALKER when Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Chewbacca and Rose Tico gather to celebrate Life Day. Rey and droid BB-8 embark on journey to a mysterious Jedi temple which leads to encounters with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. The premiere is November 17.

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION---Jake Johnson commented on returning for DOMINION, “I was getting ready to go out and then this pandemic hit and so everything got pushed and the schedule got rearranged,” Johnson said. “And now we’re trying to figure it out because obviously I’m in STUMPTOWN and we’re going into Season 2 of that. So we’re figuring out the scheduling and how and if we can make it work. But Colin Trevorrow, the director, is a good friend, we’re old friends and we’ve been talking a lot and we’re trying to figure out how to do it.”
Johnson added, “At one point I pitched that he has like a huge pony tail now and he’s got like an army jacket and he’s kind of going through some PTSD of what he lived through. I wanted the 70s glasses and he’s always smoking a cigarette, but luckily Colin said no so we’ll see what happens (laughs). I was like, ‘Man I think he should be tatted up from the ankles to the ears, he saw a dinosaur attack!’”
47 RONIN---Universal Pictures sequel underway to the 2013 Keanu Reeves movie. The sequel will be set 300 years in the future in a cyberpunk world. Ron Yuang (MULAN) is the director.
COLLEGE REPUBLICANS---Logan Lerman and Asa Butterfield will star in this movie about the early days of Republican strategists Karl Rove and Lee Atwater.
MRS. MARCH---Elisabeth Moss will star in this movie based on the upcoming novel about a New York woman who goes ballistic when she suspects the despicable character in her husband's new novel is based on her.
THE CROWN---Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip in Seasons 5 and 6.
AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER---creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have left the Netflix live-action series due to creative differences.
ONE OF US IS LYING---Peacock tv series underway based on the young adult novel.
TRIVIA--Tom Selleck said he and author Tom Clancy (THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER) developed a MAGNUM PI movie, “Tom Clancy is a huge MAGNUM fan. In the early ‘90s, [Clancy had] done a couple of wildly successful movie adaptations of his books. We got together, and I went to Universal, and I said, ‘It’s time we could do a series of feature films.’ They were very interested, and I had Tom, who wanted to do the story, and I had this package put together, but Universal’s the only studio that could make it, and they went through three ownership changes in the ‘90s, and I think that was the real window for MAGNUM."
Selleck elaborated on the movie plot, “This movie, written by Tom Clancy, with the original cast, set in Hong Kong during the transfer of power to the Chinese, with North Koreans getting plutonium for a bomb. Tell me that wouldn’t have been a hit?”
Universal Pictures rejected the Selleck/Clancy movie in favor of a MAGNUM proposal from producer Brian Grazer which included rumors of George Clooney playing Magnum. However, even this movie never came to fruition.

Funny, i've been watching re-runs of 'Magnum PI' lately, and it really stood the test of time, actually enjoying it more than when it originally aired. Well written, with some witty dialogue

This is the most unexpected and refreshingly welcome sequel news I've read in a long time. Sure beats rebooting the Star Wars Holiday Special.
