Just to clarify a small detail... I often fill my pathetically empty life dreaming up "Things I Wouldn't Like To Do", and carry them out as a kind of self-punishment for probably being a bit of a wanker sometimes. Last week I had to "eat" all my liquids by using a fork, and this week I've decided to cut the lawn with a teaspoon. It's a frustrating task, but I feel better when I remember that I really do deserve it.
So there's been a bit of a misunderstanding along the way. I don't need boom boxes or anything. I just mentioned that I'd have to drop out of the Zoom early due to my self-imposed teaspoon task.
And so I imagine that I may have missed some good chat. I liked the Hitch comments, the theatre and musicals observations, but then I had to leave. Was the rest of it even better because I'd gone?
It was a different zoomer in that there was a lot of movie talk for the better portion. Which included some musicals and music-based productions. An exception to the usual goings-on, for sure, and perhaps offbeat in the manner of summer-is-really-over-ugh-covid-is-gaining-traction. Seen in this light, our host's pondering over going back to weekly meet-ups sounds thoughtful and reasonable.
Stick its anniversary in as a topic next zoom chat, Stephen..its Mitch musicmad's favourite film too! And on his glowing recommendation i watched it again a few weeks ago on Sony (not the long version)...its a good watch and the score takes the whole film up a big notch.
