BALLERINA---producer Chad Stahelski commented on the JOHN WICK spinoff movie about a young female assassin who seeks revenge for the murder of her family with Len Wiseman as the director/co-writer, “Having him on board and approaching some of the action design from a slightly different perspective, meaning the set pieces, the character involvement, how and what he wants to do during the action sequences, makes it kind of fresh. So, we’re not just copying ourselves over and over again with gun-fu or something like that. And because the character is different, we’re going to get a different take on things.” Chloe Grace Moretz is reportedly a candidate to star in the spinoff.

Good old Percy Herbert, he was in so many British films, I bet he had some great stories to tell. I can't say I'm excited about The Wolf Man remake after The Mummy (2017) debacle. I really like The Woffman (2010) remake, a stunning film to look at.

Agreed. Gothic style monster movies will always be more exciting than modern day set ones. Or at least period. The last Mummy franchise did last a while. The last one is easier to forget.

It makes me wonder that if they still go for the Bride remake, is that going to be modern day? Dull.

They'd be better off making a good werewolf movie that COULD be taken as a sequel without actually stating it. Use the Talbot name etc. Son of Dracula doesn't hurt the two films before it whatever one thinks about it, but for fans it's a sequel. Just a different guy playing the character. I hate the constant need to officially reboot everything.

For all it's faults Van Helsing was a fun rollercoaster ride that celebrated the old series and had a bit of fun with it. And it was gothic and period. That's half the fun right there.

@ Justin Boggan are you bumping all these old threads to catch up or was FSM hit hard by a spambot this morning?

My guess is the former. And they've almost ALL been negative! So either he's not in a very good place right now, or he's trying to outdo you as the board's resident grouch.
