Whoa, MV, *major* congrats on this fairly quick sell-out! Of course, in the good ol' days, 1000 copies would have sold out even faster, but this is still pretty rare for a release to sell out so quickly, especially one that's $60 (even though it's an amazing deal for four packed discs/11 scores). THIS WAS MY #1 FAVORITE RELEASE OF 2019. Yes, even over the Goldsmith goodies we got! Guys, if you're reading this and you like any of these composers at all, don't risk missing out on this amazing set. Hell, even if you're curious to discover some of these composers but you haven't yet explored Alfred Newman, David Raskin, Franz Waxman, etc... this is a pretty good place to start! Right now thanks to LLL's generous 30% off sale, this set is about the same price (just over $40) as Intrada's amazing (similarly four packed discs represented 11 premiere release scores) Franz Waxman set from a couple years ago. At only about $10 a disc and under $4 per score, that's an INCREDIBLE deal. This set also looks back to the grand days of FSM, and when we got those three fantastic bargain 3-disc western sets (the first two of which sold out super fast). I hear Lukas had a hand in getting this project off the ground and I wasn't surprised to learn that! With superb producers like John Takis and Frank DeWald at the help, and the magician Chris Malone restoring the scores to the best they could be (which I understand was an arduous task, given the state of the elements), this set is very much worth your support and will be a great addition to your collection. This was a very good seller for you MV and I hope you will consider more classic Western scores beyond TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA. Classic Western scores have done pretty well for LLL (Shane and Gunfight at the OK Corral sold out pretty quick too at 2000 units each, if I recall correctly), so I wouldn't be surprised if they already are considering plenty more. MV, are you able to comment at all at this point on the possibility of a Volume 2? John Takis indicated he already had ideas about some Paramount western scores that could be put on it (I recall there was one by Adolphe Deutsche), in the other thread. Or maybe there are other genres that could make cool themed box sets from Paramount? I know comedies are a hard sell but westerns aren't the only popular film music genre...I guess Intrada already released a cool Film Noir at Paramount 2CD set that sold out a few years ago, but I wonder if there are any other possibilities. Amazing set, with loads of variety. A perfect companion piece to FSM's trilogy of MGM Western sets. Grab it while you can. FSM did two MGM sets and one United Artists set. But I agree it was an excellent trilogy, with this as a clear successor -- and it's probably my favorite of the four! Yavar

This set was worth the price for WILL PENNY alone. Which WILL PENNY? The one by Raskin ... or the one by Raksin?

I'm glad to see this is close to selling out as well. I purchased it not too long ago but have yet to give it a listen. I know I'm in for a treat though. Here's hoping we see more sets like this, perhaps focusing on other genres.
