I know he still wanted to do new complete recordings of great scores like Jarre's Jesus of Nazareth, Moross's The War Lord, Schumann's Night of the Hunter, Antheil's The Pride and the Passion, and more... I would buy all of these.

Yes I would buy any of them as well. James Fitzpatrick also once expressed interest in recording a new complete version of my #1 favorite John Williams score, Jane Eyre (1970), since the original recording seems lost. But I think that interest was shot down by a Williams representative or something. We also know Luc van de Ven of Prometheus very much wanted to record a new complete The Chairman by Goldsmith...alas, Fox wouldn't grant access to the written scores at the time so it never happened. (A reconstruction by ear would not work because of how the score was hacked up, dialed out, and sometimes entirely unused in the film.) Yavar

So The Chairman doesn't sound poor enough for you, moolik, even though all the existing CDs of the (quite) truncated album program aren't even mastered from tapes, but from old vinyl copies? Only if they can get Fox/Disney to actually cooperate on it. Well if that's the deciding factor, Intrada has a better relationship with Fox/Disney than any other label! And besides, for their wonderful Black Patch recording Intrada actually got the written score from the Academy's Margaret Herrick Library: http://collections.new.oscars.org/Details/Archive/71302938 It seems likely that they could also get access to Goldsmith's sketches for The Chairman, and use them to reconstruct the complete score even if the studio is too tied up to delve into the historical Fox archives: http://collections.new.oscars.org/Details/Archive/71302942 Here's my attempt to match up that written cue list with the existing album program -- you'll notice that even accounting for different titles here and there, there is quite a bit of written music unreleased (some of which isn't even heard in the film): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TeqJdKNyTJgehPnmolpxCxFbZEokAXrh5FLKcUeOnIo/edit?usp=sharing Seriously if anyone can pick up this worthy project, Intrada can! Yes ...such fantastic rerecordings. I´d love to see THE CHAIRMAN ..but even more so PRINCE VALIANT..BAMBI...CRIMSON PIRATE...SINBAD THE SAILOR....etc etc.So many cool stuff .For me it has to be something which till now is either only existing in poor sound ( like BAMBI) or non existent like JOAN D´ARC..VERA CRUZ...SINBAD etc. I have heard a lot of good opinions about SINBAD THE SAILOR score and I think that i need finally watch this film to be able to hear music.

"I have heard a lot of good opinions about SINBAD THE SAILOR score and I think that i need finally watch this film to be able to hear music." *** If I'm not already on that list, Michal, please add my VERY good opinion about SINBAD. And if you haven't seen it yet, TCM screens it, and of course it's also on DVD. Hope you like it!

Like I said here before, every new recording from Tadlow and Prometheus was the most important release of year for me. Today I had a little time and decide to listen Salamander - and it is incredible performance - those monstrous timpani parts - absolutely fantastic!

Another Prague recording which I adore is "Vikings" - it is really wonderful recording of this classic film score. Those horn parts sounds absolutely lovely when main title is played. All other elements and tracks sounds perfect, choruses and vocals sounds also great. "The Vikings" new recording is also very personal album for me - when this album was released at the end of 2018, my wife was hospitalized before our son was born. It was very hard time for our family. I visited my wife every day in hospital and driving by my car a lot. It was something around 50 kilometers to the hospital. And during my driving I listen "Vikings" everyday. For me it was very uplifting and helpful and this "Vikings" music really helps me a lot to go through all of this hard times.

It is Sunday so I finally have some free time. So I put on my headphones and listened to “Lawrence of Arabia” by Tadlow. I don’t have the words to describe how spectacular and monumental this recording is. Everything sounds great, the solo instruments, the choirs and the entire orchestra – an incredible achievement. Congratulations to James, Nic and the Prague Orchestra.
