I know a lot of you are aware of his television music for countless 70s shows, but I just re-listened to a couple of lps of his that were quite impressive. The first one on RCA from 1961 features two ballets (choreographed by Jerome Robbins) in an orchestral jazz setting--Events and N.Y. Export Op. Jazz. The album--shared credit with Teo Macero--features 6 works by Macero and 5 by Prince; this is more in a chamber jazz style. For me, the RCA album is a real treat and would love to get a cd release. But that old lp sounds great. If you like his tv music or have an interest in third-stream composition, check these out.
Didn't know Robert Prince before hearing Gargoyles or The Wild Wild West his music has definitely enlightened me too audit his quality further which looks fab what he worked on the jazz & chamber styles also looks very interesting, thanks for posting.
