And here's part three - I hope you don't get tired of Jerry Goldsmith anytime soon since there are quite a few more titles to come... Isn't it fascinating to think that Goldsmith scored so many pictures in his career, over 160 (TV not counting), creating and writing new musical ideas for every one of them, almost never running dry or out of ideas... I hope, Jerry, wherever you are, you are reading this too and smile down upon us...

So, what's on the menu today? 15 Films from 1966 to 2001! Two are from the Demonic group (just text on black) but here are some clues:

No.14 features, among others, the man who ... well, let's just say, "If it doesn't fit..."

No.15 stars the man who, in another movie (also scored by Goldsmith) has to witness in horror somebody lose his head... (well, that other unfortunate man was warned before...!)

And, if anybody should wonder why I post it on both "sides" of the board, well, they advised me to do so since there seem to be quite different people on either side so please don't hate me but all I want really is to give us a little good clean fun here, in those troubled times...

If Jerry Goldsmith is looking down (or up, or whatever big grin) he’ll be looking at the General Discussion board and tapping his fingers impatiently waiting for part 3 to appear over there...

Whoa, whoa.... please... :-) Does that mean that by now everybody interested is alerted and looks for new parts on the "other side" now and not here anymore? So should I post the other parts just on the "General" "geek" side or here as well?

Of course! You're right... interestingly, that one seemed to be the hardest one on the "other" side...:-) That one was about the last one guessed by anybody....

afn - The majority of us at FSM are primarily film music fans, so most people go to the General (film music) Discussion side first. I still have the feeling that nearly everyone looks at this side from time to time (I'm 50-50, but do click on the other side for a look before switching over here). Basically I'm saying that yeah, probably a good idea not to put the same thing on both sides.

Why don't you do the occasional "guess the film from the screengrab" here - the grabs that aren't composer credits?

Like was said earlier, theres less of us.
So post it here first.

Give it a day and then post it over there, where the real jerry experts are.

No! It's futile. Most of us check both sides. If the quiz is posted here first, some villainous cheat will just copy the answers onto the other side, during the night in the USA, but breakfast time in our part(s) of Europe.

Bill already cheated with The Last Hard Men answer! Are there no scruples left?

This is a great idea. Film composer screenshots on the film music side, film quiz stuff on this side. Twice the fun, none of the encroachment smile

Sorry Bill, you're right. I checked and you didn't cheat. But some will. I already did, saying that it was THE LAST HARD MEN on the other side, copying you there from here.

I'm sure it isn't. You're just confirming for the first time that Bill's answer (The Last Hard Men) is correct. But it's quite intimidating when you ask "What do you mean by that?", with those scary Conrad Veidt eyes in. Who would dare aim a negative comment at a genie with such a stare.
