Listening again.

Have always had a soft spot for this film and score.

Thoughts?

Infinitely melancholy.

The piece Young SHOULD have won for.

The two source, newsreel cues....I hope one of 'our labels ' reissues this, with these intrusive, mood breakers, placed at the end.

That's all folks!

This is the score that broke Young out into the mainstream in 1995 and finally started getting A-list projects like Species, Virtuosity and Copy Cat (replacing James Newton Howard who was overbooked as usual) amongst others.

The film is pretty darn good but it's Young's music that propels the story much more in my view. He couldn't have done a more masterful job than this score.

We've done a couple of threads about this before.

It's my alltime favourite C. Young (but I always program out the marches).
