Hi, Bill. Rod Serling himself assessed The Twilight Zone by stating that one-third of its shows were great ... with another third being turkeys. TZ is typically lauded as a highwater mark for television overall, so no TV series is 100% excellence. If TZ bats 1 home run out of 3, then TotU batting 1 out of 4 still isn't all that bad ... eh? If one likes any TV show, one is inclined to be lenient towards its disappointments out of love for its entire endeavors. Seems as though TotU - at its core - is just not your cuppa. I deliberated about mentioning to Xebec the mid-'70s Thriller by Brian Clemens, but thought he's occupied enough as is sampling TotU in YouTube. I think I'll create a separate thread for that. [not only did I check out those 3 you highlight, I've seen every episode 'cause I bought the entire series around 15 years ago when it was released as a Region 2 boxed-set of DVDs]

Hey z 1 Maybe it was more like 1 in 5 or 6!! I watched the lot - even as an excited youth and probably some 80s reruns - but invariably disappointed. 2 good point and true 3 i was a big fan at the beginning, loved all that sort of stuff - i just found TotU invariably wasted the cast it had. Good music though.
