The Lion in Winter is the only score that can make you think that learning Latin might be quite cool.

Hey I took 2 years of Latin in HS! Ah yes, Caesar's (pronounced KY-sahr's) Gallic Wars. Yeesh.

Oh and TG, meant to wave hi! your way during last Zoom meeting. Figured you & I could regale the gang with tales of meeting Mr. Barry. Eh, we would have hijacked the broadcast and ended up in Havana or something.

big grin

Hi Howard - I wouldn’t try to compete with you on that front. All I did was stay with him in Oyster Bay for a week listening to his private tapes.

And then I woke up...

So how did you get on with expanding your Barry, Henry?
What did you get after the recommendations.

A bank loan to cover his living expenses!
But the music makes it all worthwhile smile

Do you think the brokest film score collectors have to be Morriconians, Barryistas , goldsmithians and williams aficionados?

That’s why I’m only 75% broke - phew!

Well guys, I have about 30 Barry titles to go!smile

I have pretty much every Barry soundtrack there is, but one a treasure is this compilation conducted by the man himself during the 1960s:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00004UBB9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Goes very cheaply, but mostly very faithfully to the original orchestrations and gives a brilliant introduction to 20 odd soundtracks. I don’t think you can go far wrong.

That guy on the top of the cover of the "Deadfall" C.D. bears a suspicious resemblance to J.B. himself.
