Fantastic Four (2015) Marco Beltrami (w/ a bit of Philip Glass tossed in)
Contrary to popular opinion, I think what Beltrami accomplished with F4 is really quite impressive, at least as far as SCI-FI action-thrillers go. Complete please.
Girls In The Sun (GR: Koritsia Ston Ilio) - Stavros Xarhakos
Beautiful, pop-flavored romantic score - with a truly great main theme - from one of the leading Greek composers of the era for the 1968 Golden Globe-nominated film.
"I let you know where I'm going, I won't be on holiday." Mission: Impossible II (Music From The Original Motion Picture Score) - Hans Zimmer
The second installment of the Mission:Impossible franchise was released in theaters twenty years ago today. John Woo injected his trademark style (slow motion, flying doves, spectacular action scenes, etc.) all over the sequel where the final result is basically a John Woo action adventure spy movie loosely based on the TV show. Even though the movie has it's moments it's my least favorite of the franchise so far. M:I2 was the biggest hit of that summer and year until Ron Howard/ Jim Carrey's live action adaptation of Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas dethroned it as the highest grossing movie domestically that winter. Zimmer's score is still a lot of fun and perfectly depicts Woo's take on Mission: Impossible. Although I'll admit Zimmer's score is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Easily the most contemporary of the Mission: Impossible scores.
