Quartet Records will be having their 10th anniversary soon.

FSMers celebrate with lists … so bring on your Top 10s folks.

Here's my ten in chronological order:

1. Antonioni, Suoni del Silenzio (4-CD box set with 3 by Fusco & 1 Gaslini)
2. Un Amore (Gaslini)
3. Sotto il Segno Dello Scorpione (Gelmetti)
4. The Light at the Edge of the World (Piccioni)
5. A Town Called Hell (in a double-disc issue of Waldo de los Rios including "Savage Pampas")
6. Hammersmith Is Out (Frontiere)
7. Lady Caroline Lamb (Bennett) a "Singular Soundtrack" release before Quartet became Quartet
8. The Legend of Blood Castle (Savina)
9. The Awakening (Bolling)
10. Le Moine (Iglesias)

The early 1970s have been served well by Quartet.
Recently, I got their "Perversione/Stress" Savina … and, when digested, may well deposit this disc here and dispatch one of the above.

Well, expansions would rarely, if ever, feature on any favourite list of mine, and Quartet has many of those. Same for reissues; then I'd rather give the kudos to the original label.

But they have some great scores in their catalogue, and I feel I've just scratched the surface. In particular, I need to check out all their Italian stuff.

    These are 10 great ones:

    BLANCHE COMME NEIGE (Coulais)
    THE BRIDE WORE BLACK (Herrmann)
THE RED TURTLE (Perez del Mar)
    SNØFALL (Skram)
RETROSPECTIVE (Gaigne) -- or any of their Gaignes, really
    SUMMER RENTAL/CRITICAL CONDITION (Silvestri)
    THE DELTA FORCE (Silvestri)
ANTONIONI, SUONI DEL SILENZIO (Fusco, Gaslini)
    PASSION (Donaggio)
    THE IMPOSSIBLE (Velazquez)

Also shoutouts to SHORTCUTS 2018, EL HOMBRE Y LA TIERRA, TOM SAWYER, CRUSOE, BORA BORA.

Looking at he lists shows just how many great albums they've done. Did anybody mention the Rota/Fellini releases? Those are my favorites--along with Lady Caroline Lamb, The Knack, The Last Valley, The Long Goodbye, Moll Flanders, and more.

... and this comes from a guy who, elsewhere in this forum, raved about Piccioni's 7 Murders for Scotland Yard and also owns Bora Bora.

Someone needs to be more specific in his/her thread titles. wink

I can't remember which label released what. Do you guys actually keep spreadsheets with these kinds of details?

I do refer to Quartet Records in my post. There is a capital Q in my header, so I'm referring neither to string quartets nor jazz quartets.

And, yes, I do keep album info inside Excel spreadsheets. smile
