I've been listening to this over the weekend, it's very sombre and dark. Typical of Johansson's style but with the perspective of his untimely passing, all the more poignant. I like it but it's.... I don't know, a mixture of depressing and distressing. It gets to the point I had to press the stop button and take a break from it.

Bonus: One of the performers of Jóhannsson's music is recent Oscar winner Hildur Guðnadóttir. Not so strange, since they worked together a lot over the years, on many of Jóhannsson's scores. They were almost like siblings, really. Well, I didn't say it was strange or unusual, just interesting. And I'm not surprised, Iceland's music community is well-known for being close. Even with a population of some 350,00 (most in Reykjavik), I heard an Icelander once comment that when someone asks the usually dumb question: "You're from Iceland? Do you know so-and-so?", he was often surprised that he did know them.
