Can anyone speak to Islands in the Stream? Is it worth it besides being a Jerry Goldsmith score?

Intrada's Fielding albums such as Chato's Land were selling out in and around 2008, but their recent re-issues apparently need price reductions just to move stock off mailroom shelves. Such significant changes transpired regarding consumer marketplace demographics, aesthetic tastes & product content within a mere 10-to-12-year timeframe. This doesn't bode well for titles like The Amazing Mr. Blunden or Downhill Racer as they receive discounts only months after entering the catalogue. Elmer B.'s Blunden was likely an object of decades-long searches and tender-loving care for those who produced it … a pity it seems doomed to early dismissal.

It smarts a little seeing Blunden, Downhill Racer and the two Fielding re-issues hit sale prices so soon after I tossed them into a large order last year, but at least I got plenty of pleasure from them in that short span of time. Blunden, in particular, is one the best discoveries I've made in the last few years. In any case, I'm happy to do my part for the cause (of paying full price early on) when I can. Ordered Virtuosity and Julius Caesar, along with something I should have picked up in one of last year's sales- The Caine Mutiny. Better late than never. I rounded out the order with the latest Rosenthal, something I'm sure I could have easily waited for till it too hit sale pricing, sooner rather than later I'm sure. I couldn't help myself though, I just really dig the samples.
