Yes, it's similar to the Cocker song but my guess is it's a coincidence.

He also did good stuff for FRESH HORSES, LISTEN TO ME, ONE GOOD COP, TEEN AGENT and GOLDEN FIDDLES.

Solo piano rarely works for me. I wasn't fussed on that recent Vangelis album. All a bit Einaudi to me, who I can't stand. I like Foster though, interested to hear it. I agree that piano solo albums can get boring, but Foster is a particular talent. And I think I heard some keyboard backing on the LOVE track.

I read his autobiography HITMAN, and there is very little talk about his film music there. He said the late 80s was a difficult period, and I guess he did the film scores for the money. In the early 90s, when things started getting better professionally, he stopped doing scores. A pity.

That age difference makes Woody Allen look almost respectable*!!! Although at least David Foster waited. *edit...no, it's actually the same (about 35 years!!), but as stated, David Foster waited until she'd had her prom...AND...she's not his step-daughter!!!

I only learned yesterday that Foster is married to Katharine McPhee. Lucky him! Oh? Thor said Foster was gay.
