Does anybody else would like to see a complete 2cd presentation of the Randy Edelman's the Mask score? I have been playing the original score purple case cd album for years and it's still sounds highly enjoyable and fresh and it surely deserves a deluxe treatment!
I need to revisit this. I remember it having a pretty heavy swing, big band feel if I remember correctly? Have only heard the score in the film tho...was it ever available commercially?

Hey Pachuco by Royal Crown Revue ended up becoming the "sound" of THE MASK through trailers and the cartoon theme, but the score is vintage Edelman.
There is a score album but it's always been pretty pricey whenever I've looked for it.
We're told comedy scores don't sell. Then it's a niche 1990's score. And it's a hit/miss/mostly miss composer for most.
It's not outside the realm of possibility the score will get a deluxe treatment, but I don't think any o the labels look forward to the maybe one hundred copies they'll move just on their website.

Since I don't own the original score album. I wouldn't mind seeing/owning an expanded remaster album. However, I believe the amount of score Edelman composed is enough for one disc.
