"She's alive! Alive!"
The Bride Of Frankenstein (The 1935 Original Soundtrack Recording) - Franz Waxman

"I began composing several dozen short improvisational compositions, maybe a minute each. Slowly, some of them began to develop themselves until finally I had six separate movements that, in some abstract, absurd way, felt connected."
Serenada Schizophrana (Featured In The Soundtrack To IMAX Deep Sea 3D) - Danny Elfman

Even though this isn't the same recording/performance of Elfman's first classical composition arrangement. However, Serenada Schizophrana did premiere at Carnegie Hall in New York City fifteen years ago today.

Crossed Swords by Maurice Jarre

One of those rare circumstances when a 40 minute album was so well put together the lack of more of it never seemed the least bit concerning.

My fave score for an Ali MacGraw romance is still Players. But this still good (UNlike the movie. It's no Ghost)...

”Once upon a time... No, no, that’s not the way to start. You’ll think this is a fairytale and it isn’t. It has elements of a fairytale; dragons, elves, griffins, fairies and so on. And it has magic. Now in my day, magic was much more commonplace. Ah well, all things change. The arrow of time points in one direction only. So, where should I begin...”
