Watching the Trump impeachment trial and I am shocked that US politicians and legals are incapable of reading stuff that they have in front of them. The worst case of this was Eric Herschmann of the Trump defense team.....it looked like he didn't have the right set of false teeth in.... He was incapable if stringing together a sentence without one balls up after another. I noticed this just the other week with 'speaker' Pelosi who seems a very poor speaker considering speaking is her job.

Mark, would you please edit your post by in the above linked thread by reducing it to just the YouTube link? That way, the thread won't look so distended. Thanks in advance.
Sorry Jim. The edit button has disappeared and I cannot alter it. Will try on my pc instead of phone when I get home. Apologies.
Ps. This isn't a politics thread it is to do with public speaking and the inability for people to read something in front of them. I have been shocked by this, especially among younger speakers, as in the UK at least, students are taught to speak in public now. I have noticed this more with speakers in the USA than in the UK and I wondered if this was tied into the fact that Americans read so little.
