You have some neat ideas going on here -- the MATRIX premise combined with space opera. The "money shot" (i.e. CGI overview) moves by a little quickly, as if it's sped up, so I couldn't quite make out all the going-ons, but I'm assuming it would have been costlier if you slowed it down. Love those Terrence Malick-ian "flashbacks"!

Thank you all for watching and for your nice words and, especially, the financial support I was so fortunate to receive from our donors.

There have been many strange experiences making this film. I am sure they are things all filmmakers go through. Being on set telling people what to do was definitely one of them—you're like the guest conductor of this orchestra, and you don't really understand how they make music. But you still need to tell them what you want the thing to sound like.

Today, having the film go live on youtube and also Facebook has been rewarding but also unnerving. I've interacted with the public long enough to be able to handle it, but let's just say, if aliens visit us, I hope their first contact with humanity is not via Youtube comments! Some people are supportive, others not so much; some make sense, others are just venting about taste. (Or making lewd comments about our actress.)

I do hope people watch the film as I am always interested in hearing comments. Thanks!

34,000 views and counting - I am impressed - Dust was clearly the right choice.

Congratulations, Lukas. We were obviously raised on the same kind of books. Of course it starts with a blaster beam.

Wow.
Great twist, reminiscent of the type of quandaries that Harlan Ellison used to do.
I loved it!

Color me confused - wasn't this already up on the 'net, and just not distributed for supporters via blu-ray, or was it only available to supporters previously?

It was previous made available for donors via a private Vimeo link. Now it's been picked up by DUST (from Gunpowder & Sky) worldwide, for free viewing. Soon we'll distribute to donors via Blu-ray per our campaign. Thanks!

As I suspected. Thanks for the clarification, and looking forward to the blu-ray, Lukas. Best of luck ....

Awesome work! I think it's great!
I know I can't really speak for him, but if he was alive and producing today, I think Rod Serling would be on board with stories like these. It has the elements of some of the Twilight Zone episodes.

I wish you all the best in your endeavors!
