I'd think an action sequence with Daniel Craig cut to this music might give us a real last stand up and cheer moment. As it hasn't been used since MOONRAKER, I've always wondered if that was creative choice, or if there's some legal restriction? Maybe Barry retired it himself? David Arnold did say in a recent podcast interview that he looked for an opportunity to use 007, but that it was too triumphant and jaunty to suit the film. It's one of my favorite classic Bond themes and is absolutely my favorite cue in From Russia with Love. It was a little overused in Thunderball, though. When Barry updated it for Moonraker, it was in the "lush romantic Barry" mode and really didn't suit the boat chase it was backing. I agree that it's musical sensibility is from another time but perhaps a more aggressive rendition would suit the Craig Bond. There's only one chance left for this and it's in the hands of Hans. Since the theme, with the exception of Moonraker, has been used primarily in the films that had SPECTRE as the antagonistic organization. Exactly this.
