I don't believe there is a release date yet but we should be getting Mank, with Gary Oldman as Herman J. Mankiewicz, sometime next year.

Could be interesting... but there is no release date and probably no composer announced yet either...

I'll add it to the list and keep checking... although Fincher's recent composer choices haven't been all that great...

Thanks for the list, Lokutus. I'm particularly curious about Powell's CALL OF THE WILD, HGW's take on MULAN, Marianelli's SECRET GARDEN (hope it's a return to form for him; it's about time!), WONDER WOMAN 1984 (don't care about superhero stuff, but love the prospect of 80s' Zimmer stylings), TOP GUN: MAVERICK and DUNE.

But your list is a bit heavy on top Hollywood composers. Every year, some of my favourites come from indie films or lesser known titles around the world. I haven't made a list like you, but I'll keep a vigilant eye and ear out, like I do every year.

Only one score for Giacchino all next year? Maybe he’s taking a year off? Thank gawd! If only Zimmer would take a break. I mean these guys earned it!

Looking forward to JNH Jungle Cruise the most!

Sylvester’s the Croods was surprisingly good. Looking forward to Croods 2. He’s really hit and miss with me.

Harry Gregson-Williams Mulan could be great.

Always interested in anything by Patrick Doyle and John Powell.

Well, these lesser known composers are usually even harder to keep track of what they are working on... There is still some Panu Aaltio, Guy Farley (if that movie ever gets made), Darren Fung, Mathieu Gonet, George Kallis,... etc.... Not to mention the most anticipated movies are usually scored by the same "old" guys and many of them has no composer listed yet... although there are certainly some hints eg related to Black Widow - but if that turns true, I couldn't care less about the score. But as mentioned in the opening post I am open to any suggestions what to add...

There isn't that many new projects listed for Cyrille Aufort, Gaute Storaas or Mathieu Lamboley at the moment. Plus I wish I could remember what Benjamin Wallfisch will be working on next, since he was quite enthusiastic about it in Ghent. Just my old brain... But I guess a lot will be revealed in the coming months.

Looking more closely on UTROPICA it seems quite questionable, so who knows if he will be even involved. He was originally set to also score AN AMERICAN PICKLE next year, but his involvement will be probably fairly minimal in the end, probably serving as music producer and he is currently credited with themes only.. BUT don't forget this is only the list of 2020 and therefore doesn't cover:

1) three of his 2021 projects
2) he can still do something nobody knows about yet

I wonder if there will be a soundtrack release for Shore's Le Prince Oublié? I sure hope so. It's the best thing I see on the list outside of the possibilities with Zimmer's Dune.

What, no David Newman's West Side Story? Between that and Dune, it'll be interesting to see which movie appeals to audiences.

The wait for Cosmos S2 has been difficult at the least.

Since he will mostly adapt the old score, that isn't that interesting as if he was doing the new score...

He has something else coming up so that will be up on the list as soon as the release date is confirmed smile

I am ready for SCREAM 3 Deluxe edition, since next year will be its 20th anniversary. But that has nothing to do with this list/thread.

I am sure there will be wonderful releases in 2020 from all the labels.

At this moment I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of the forthcoming 2 disc Disney CD which has been hinted by Intrada. Will it finally be the long awaited ‘Willow’?
