This is another film score which needs a complete release. I wonder if the masters are damaged like 'Hello Dolly'

I'd love to see a Blu-ray release of the film.

I'd love to see a Blu-ray release of the film. Me, too! I have fond memories of seeing this on its original roadshow release - probably 1968, so I'd have been 10 - at one of the best local cinemas ... a curved screen where the curtains draw back as the sound kicks in (the cinema later converted to a three screen multiplex with awful paintwork, strobe lights and no curtains ... and was then demolished about 30 years ago). Anyhow, this was a big treat for me and I loved it. I'd seen Tommy Steele in a couple of films and liked him ... but it was his lovely co-star, Julia Foster, who really made it work. I have watched it since on TV in an awful 4:3 P&S mono broadcast ... I can't recreate that cinema-going experience from 50+ years ago but I'd certainly enjoy watching a decent W/S stereo Blu-Ray. Flash, bang, wallop ...as they say. Incidentally, in the early 1970s that song from the score was played regularly on BBC Radio 2, more so than the title song (which I enjoy more). Mitch

The OOP DVD, which had a Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround soundtrack, can still be had at inflated prices.
