Absolutely, love how Conti applied that exciting energy breezing-out a quirky-lush pattern that classy sax rubato going-on is crème de la crème I love hearing freedom, sexiness, hail king-Conti. Fact it is more memorable for that tv diversity of Conti's ethos & colourful cast you don't always get that privilege starting an episode - like Five-O's iconic features its splendid it was an easy-deal dialling-in, both themes influenced me too the Hilton's watching more high-spirited showings, Conti & Stevens nailed there themes beautifully.
What I don't forgive Meg Foster being replaced those bosses excuses stunk worst than a blocked sewer, if that was today it would be a liable-case, bastards.
Zoob, dammit! Thanks to you, I've done gone and purchased the complete series set! This is one of those shows I'd catch an episode of here and there. I always loved it but never watched it seriously. The last thing I need right now, Zoob, is another TV series to watch. But then you didn't think about that, didja? Great thread on the theme - thanks!

My pleasure AG, but sorry to dent your Bank Account. CAGNEY and LACEY holds special memories for me as being one of the first TV Shows I was booked on as an extra back in my early Hollywood days in 1984. I probably was in under 10 episodes playing everything from a young Cop in uniform to Street criminal types or just a guy in a cafeteria style deli waiting in line to pay for my food. Fun times and I remember they had great catering for the company and crew, including the extras so that was a bonus. I'll have to dig up some old photos from the sets I know I have in storage somewhere. Wow, 1984. I was a kid back then.
