Since Basil has already pointed out that there is a CD release of Bernard’s score, I think the real shame is that there is no US edition of the film with this score (for the record, I first saw the film with the Erdmann score, but much prefer this score). TCM used to show the film with this score, but a few years ago, they sadly phased it out for the most recent restoration with the Erdmann score.

Talk about impulse buying dammit! On the basis of this (so far) tiny thread I've just found myself compelled to buying the Blu ray. Couldn't resist. Saw the film years ago when the UK's Channel 4 showed it with that Bernard score and have finally succumbed to having my own copy.

As others have said there is a CD. The CD isn't the complete score but it's a nice album. And of course, being that this is a silent film, the Blu-Ray itself is basically a complete score CD. Cheers

Watched it this afternoon. Thought since I'm watching the latest Dracula tomorrow evening, I could do the first version today. Brilliant film. Loved every second, and that Bernard score really helps the enjoyment. I suppose it helps being a big fan of his music to start with, but it really is great. Not a dull moment. I remember watching the film in a double bill with the Lugosi film in the 70s and even as a teen enjoyed the silent film more (I say that already being a fan of Lugosi and his film so was somewhat surprised). More actually happens after the opening in Transylvania. No laughs though. The gruesome twosome of Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss will put that right...

That's not an image link, it's the link to the page the image was on. There's no file type (jpg, gif, etc). Maybe Imageshack was confusing; try postimages.org
