I'm catching up via streaming a lot of films I'd missed in the past. Monty Python's 'THE LIFE OF BRIAN', was one. I remember people protesting the film in San Francisco when it arrived in, (I'm guessing), 1979? And I didn't know who Monty Python was and for whatever reason, never saw it. Until last week. I haven't laughed so much in a film for a very long time! It starts out like 'Ben-Hur', with the star in the sky guiding the 3 wise men, even the music evokes a 'Rosza feel'. Then the hilarity begins. The scene later on of the Roman Emperor with a lisp, (who doesn't realize he HAS a lisp), had me in stitches. He speaks of his good friend, 'Biggus', and even though the humor is juvenile, and aimed at elementary school boys minds, even realizing this, I couldn't stop laughing! https://youtube.com/watch?v=kx_G2a2hL6U Classic scene and movie. This scene and the "stoning scene" had me absolutely guffawing. TominAtl: I don't actually have this film in my library, and I cannot recall 'a stoning scene'. Would you refresh my memory banks for me? Every-single-time I view the above scene though, I crack up without fail!

Did someone call me? ( Now that's hilarious if no-one has already said it)

All right Octoberman, the 'stoning scene' IS pretty darned funny as well, thanks for posting it. I'm going to have to order myself a copy of the film as I only have 'The Meaning of Life'. 'Brian' has too many wonderful parts!

To King Solium and Octoberman: I just came away from Blu-ray dot com and Amazon finding out that 'The Life of Brian' is only a British version. However, when I examined the fine print on the bottom of the back of the package it said 'All Regions'. So, I put it in my Amzon cart. I wonder why there's no American edition?
