Apologies to everyone awaiting this release but as you might know my mental illness ..which means days when I just cannot work...as well as now needing some major surgery has delayed things much more than I would like. I am sorry about this. But, we are now at the artwork stage so hopefully can announce a release date when I can for next year as no time really to get it together for this. James

I am so happy to be a backer of this project and may it take as long as it takes. Your health is way more important then keeping any certain release date. Wishing you the best and hoping you will get well soon!

I just popped in to see if there was any news on this - I'm also a (modest) backer eagerly anticipating the release.

Having said that, I would like to add my voice to those who would prefer James Fitz to put his health first.

Much better for this grand project to take its time and eventually give great pleasure to all involved (listeners, artists, technicians) than to take an unwarranted toll.

Lets give James all the time he needs to heal and recovery. Everything is in the can so its just a matter of time, I suppose.

Frank DeWald updated on this project status via Roza forum. Some good news here:

"I'm happy to report some progress here. The design (which resembles that for BEN-HUR) and packaging are finished, although there is some "cleaning-up" to do (typos, missing italics etc.). James has not shared a potential release date, but he IS working on it. I have no doubt he is grateful for everyone's patience -- especially those who contributed to the recording. I expect he is also working on a video tease or two."

After the superb Ben-Hur I'm excited to hear this, especially any cues that were written but not originally recorded for the film (those were some of my favorite bits of the Ben-Hur recording).

Amazing that Tadlow ended up recording all FIVE of Rozsa's epic scores:
EL CID
QUO VADIS?
SODOM AND GOMORRAH
BEN-HUR
KING of KINGS

These will stand as some of the most important film music recordings of all time.

Yes. Well deserved recordings for both new fans and audience alike. Now, only if they could also add THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD to join the recordings of THIEF OF BAGDAD and THE PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES. Although we have a brief suite that Tadlow recorded from the concert performance that was premiered in Prague with the same Tadlow team.

Sorry ! Steiner was a king, Young was a king, Herrmann was a king, Korngold was a king , Tiomkin was a king. However... the king of kings was Miklos Rozsa.smile
