I signed up on Tues, and have yet to be able to play any show! I keep getting "error code 83".
I'm using a desktop computer (my only device that I have, since my Samsung TV is apparently too old to accommodate this streaming service). Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge.
I've tried getting a hold of Disney for assistance, but haven't been able to get through. Live chat, email, and phone, all to no avail. I'm talking hours and hours of trying, and this is now my third day of trying!
Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be fixed? Is the problem at my end?
I'm particularly anxious because I'm trying to avoid spoilers on certain shows.
Spider, I have no knowledge about Disney's software for their service, but it might be worth exploring using a different browser.
(If that doesn't work, try leaving them a voicemail kindly asking when you may expect to be able to watch "Song Of The South". THAT should get you at least some kind of response. )

Thanks, but no voice mail is possible when I'm kept on hold! But yes, I like your sense of humor!
Its not just you. Since the roll out of Disney + a lot of subscribers haven't been able to download the app, cant get the streaming service to work or get random German subtitles while watching programs. I feel a disturbance with the force.
So then it looks like their system just crashed right out of the gate from being swamped. Or could it be a worldfull of internet wags just staging a DOS attack? Same result!
OMG! I just tried a different browser, IE, and it works! But WTH? IE is being phased out all over the web, and now for D+, it works over using Edge. Ppfftt! Richard G.
Jolly good, amigo. I love it when mysteries get solved. Personally, I use Firefox. But, hey, whatever works... go with it!

Edge is just not supported in a lot of places, I'm assuming because people are expecting it just to be a new version of IE. Switch to Firefox, they have much better browser plug-ins anyway
This is what Disney's website says are compatible:
Windows •Chrome 73+ is supported on Windows 7 and later •Edge is supported on Windows 10 and later •Firefox 68+ is supported on Windows 7 and later •Internet Explorer 11 is supported on Windows 8.1 and later
So, I'm mystified that my Edge browser kept getting error 83.
Oh, and Disney still hasn't replied to my two emails that I sent them. But at least I can watch stuff now!
So I hear Disney + is censoring some programs and putting trigger warnings in front of others. Thankfully they're not censoring Dumbo like was rumored. Instead we get a warning that a 78 year old film may have some outdated cultural references. What happened to "parenting"? Oh wait, its the parents who are triggered!

I guess we will never see centaur nipples ever EVER again.
I don't recall the centaur nipples ever being censored (the character of Sunflower on the other hand, is something we'll likely never see again). On the plus side, Melody Time, which previously had some smoking censored from the Pecos Bill segment, is now uncut on the service.
On a side note, the transfer of The Sword in the Stone is a vast improvement over the horribly DNR'd Blu-ray.
