WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13

MAD ABOUT YOU----trailer released for the Spectrum Originals/Sony Pictures revival miniseries.

LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grQjwdr75rg

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER----JJ Abrams said he talked to George Lucas about THE RISE OF SKYWALKER and the microscopic Midi-chlorians came up, “Yes, there were some conversations about Midi-chlorians - he loves his Midi-chlorians. But it was a very helpful thing. Sitting with him is a treat, just to hear him talk, because it’s f*cking George Lucas talking about STAR WARS. I always feel it’s a gift to hear him talk about that stuff. Because the effect that he had on me at 10 years old is utterly profound.” Abrams did not say if the Midi-chlorians discussion was directly connected to THE RISE OF SKYWALKER.

WORLDWIDE XR---the company behind bringing James Dean back for the movie FINDING JACK via CGI is also interested in using CGI to bring back other actors including Jimmy Stewart, Burt Reynolds and Lana Turner. Worldwide XR head Travis Cloyd said, “Worldwide XR wants to not only license celebrities’ likenesses, but also help creatives make use of existing assets as they look to transform them to digital humans. The way this is done depends on both individual projects as well as the recognizability of each celebrity. In some cases, creatives may rely solely on computer-generated imagery based on existing photos and films, while other projects may require combining existing assets with the work of look-alike actors.” Worldwide XR reportedly holds the digital rights to over 400 celebrities.

FRIENDS---the original cast and creators are in negotiations for an unscripted reunion special on HBO Max.

INTERNAL AFFAIRS---Paramount Pictures remake underway of the 1990 movie that starred Richard Gere and Andy Garcia.

THE WITCHER---Netflix renewed the Henry Cavill fantasy series or Season 2. The Season 1 premiere is on December 20.

THE PERIPHERAL---Amazon greenlit the Jonathan Nolan/Lisa Joy tv series based on the sci fi novel.

MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000---the Shout! Factory TV Turkey Day Marathon will include six classic episodes.

WILD BILL---ITV cancelled the series.

TRIVIA---character actress Susan Cabot is perhaps best known for starring in Roger Corman's B horror movie THE WASP WOMAN. Cabot, who suffered from emotional problems, was killed by her 25 year-old son, Timothy Scott Roman, in 1986. Roman claimed his mother was killed by a man wearing a ninja mask. Roman then claimed his mother attacked him, and he killed her in self defense. Roman was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

"Worldwide XR reportedly holds the digital rights to over 400 celebrities." Just leave them alone.

But Jimmy stewart was always very vocal about having a second career as a CGI actor. So that's fine.

Worldwide XR ... I have so many colorful metaphor combinations for you. And both my middle fingers.

“Yes, there were some conversations about Midi-chlorians"

IMHO, that's an idea that I think is best left forgotten.

For what ever complaint I have about Disney and what they have done to Star Wars, it was clear it need to be handed over to somebody else other than George Lucas.

Looking at the cast of friends - a show I've never seen-- brings up an obvious question:
" could.you make a sitcom today that doesn't " look like America"?

Stupid question, no answer required.

Susan Cabot is perhaps best known for starring in Roger Corman's B horror movie THE WASP WOMAN.

Her murder in 1986 did not receive wide coverage in the media and the circumstances surrounding the trial are
also rather peculiar. Her son, Timothy Scott Roman who suffered from dwarfism, was charged with her murder
after lying to police with claims that an intruder killed her after he finally admitted that he had blungeoned his
mother to death after a heated argument. He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, but oddly, was only
sentenced to three years probation.

Apparently, the judge decided Scott Roman was not a danger to society since he had no more mothers to kill.

JJ Abrams: the guy who makes nice with Lucas until his back is turned.

What a little shit.

Oh, I can almost hear the dialog now....

Rey: "But I always thought midi-chlorians..."

Force Ghost Han: "That's not how the force works!"

big grin Now THAT is funny!

Schmi said, "...there was no father (of Anakin).' This statement certainly seemed to pass without much comment.
So is the midi-chlorian content diluted with each generation? Does that then lead to statements like:
Gen 2 - "The force is strong with this one."
Gen 3 - "The force is sorta there with this one."
Gen 4 - "The force is almost non-existent with this one."
Gen 5 - "Force, schmorce, this one ain't got a chance."

Was there a possible side story of Galactic DNA scientists isolating the midi-chlorians to create a super army of Anakins?
The potential is mind-boggling! Or, not.

What if ... what if...

Midi-chlorians are something made up for the Jedi Counsel and told to Jedi members to tell people they know are Jedi, so they:

1. Don't make themselves too obvious and draw un-wanted attention.

2. Even hide they are Jedi from the person(s).

Since they aren't going to ignore the prequels, might as well have a way to write this shit off.
