We have all sorts of nationalities hereabouts, but the current conflation on these pages of Christian and Gareth Bale got me thinking that I can’t recall any Welsh members.

Are there any?

I need to say that I’ve always found the Welsh to be a welcoming and friendly nation, with tales of locals rudely switching to Welsh if an English tourist enters a shop (for example) to be utterly apocryphal. And your castles are great!

Come on, Joneses, Griffithses and Williamses, don’t be shy!

Pobol y cwm.
I love Wales. It's been my second home since I were a nipper.
Our family caravan holidays, a few times a year, are cherished childhood memories.
And we still drive there on many weekends of the year for nice little breaks and getaways.
But yeah, I don't recall ever seeing a taff post on this board.
Maybe they haven't gotten film music in Wales yet?

Loved holidaying in Conwy, Tenby, Anglesey, Llandudno and other bits over the years. Very fond memories. I could try and get my mate from Bridgend to start liking soundtracks but it's a bit of a tall order.

Tell Michael J Lewis that! (remark aimed at Kev before Xeb butted in big grin )

We took the kids to Barmouth for about 12 years in a row, and Tenby some years before that. Love the country. Beaumaris Castle, Harlech, Criccieth, Conwy - awe-inspiring.

I was in Rhyl once, and all the time I thought I was in England. What's the difference?

Some particularly nice fried breakfasts were had in Conwy and they had lovely second-hand book shops. Although that might have been about 18 years ago now. Good grief.

FYI. On the other side of the board under the Romer No Time To Die thread, there is a post by Alton_333. His profile says that he is from Neath, Wales. Looks like we have at least one poster from Wales.

Clearly got more sense than to venture over on this side. Thanks, Sherlock Joans!

I like the name "Sherlock." Actually, when I go through threads, if I see a name I don't remember, I will click on that profile to see where the member is from, but many don't list that information. Didn't recognize Alton, so I clicked on his profile. Now I need to look up the town (city?) of Neath.

I hope they were better off than my other set of English ancestors who owned an estate in Ireland until the local rabble burned it down!
