I mean all the speciality labels are releasing new titles monthly, why don't these get delayed too if there are capacity issues? How can Who Framed Roger Rabbit take, what is it, two years to get repressed (assuming it ever happens)? And isn't everything being pressed in Mexico anyway? Even some presses (as I recall) from a Warner Bros. plant (the Potter box as I recall) got misplaced. I've learned this the hard way. New stuff gets pressed up because it's new and all the money spent on it needs to be recouped. Repressings have taken time due to plants closing down, changing locations and money. We dont have an infinite amount of money at our disposal to repress every title. Even if you repress 500 units, chances of you selling more than 200 of them quickly are slim...and that's usually how many you have to sell to cover the cost of the repressing. So you need to budget these things out. We are buying finished goods from the 3rd party record labels. It costs a ton of dough    Posted:   Oct 20, 2019 - 3:55 AM     By:   1977   (Member) Thanks for the explanation MV. with this in mind, have you considered a model whereby you take firm orders before repressing, to gauge exact demand, thereby ensuring sufficient quantities to be economical and preventing over-supply? I'm sure many here would be willing to pay upfront to ensure receipt of a particular title. If demand is insufficient to allow a repressing, the funds could be applied to a future order perhaps?
