I apologise.

No worries. Thanks for the apology. Much appreciated, really and truly -- as is all kindness after the Hell, totally undeserved, that I've been through.

Dear Mr. Hobgood,
I'm writing a dissertation and i'd like to use something from an article of yours.

7/31/02: Film Score Organization Essay Part One of Two
Thoughts on Unity and Accessibility in Film Music

Could you tell me please what is the full source of this?
I can't find it any more in the net.
I had kept a word file of it with no further information, and I would like to use it in my bibliography. Thanks.

I'm happy to help, but I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for. Can you specify, either here or in a private message? (If you'd prefer to chat privately, I'll share contact information.)

Dan

Oh, thank you for getting back to me. I just saw this message.
when i say full source i mean, in what issue of film score monthly this was published? what volume? which pages? and if it was online, what was the full online address of it?

eg. some examples of full sources of articles:
-Doug Adams, “Sounds of the Empire”, Film Score Monthly 4/5, 1999, p. 22-25

-Marian Christy, “Conversations: John Williams' pursuit of excellence”, Boston Globe 21/1, July 4 1989, p. 21, https://www.jwfan.com/?p=4524 (last accessed: 18.11.2018)

bumping the thread...

These essays were all for the website -- Film Score Daily, if that helps. (If you would like any direct, contemporaneous quotes about film music philosophy, I'm happy to provide some, interview-style. I'd like to think that I can address the subject more eloquently and incisively today than 20 years ago, anyhow.)

Best wishes,

Dan
