Been waiting forever for a book like this! I thought for sure this was going to be a $1oo plus book so I dreaded clicking on the link. I'll be purchasing two. One for me and one for a friend.

Can this book possibly have any new insights and HQ photos not seen before (on line)?

Anyone know why this was delayed from July? Is it because of the COVID After-Times?

I was the only thing I was looking forward to about my birthday in July.

[update]
It's avail now, at the publisher's website:
https://anotheruniverse.co/collections/books/products/star-trek-the-motion-picture-inside-the-art-and-visual-effects-debut-copies-with-exclusive-artcard

I paid a premium on their shipping and the added value insert, to get it before Sept.

Looks swell!

I love the discrete color spectrum vertical stripes emerging from the bottom of the cover below the Enterprise concept sketch.

$40 seems quite reasonable for this type of book. I just may pick it up.

yeah, I agree.
I do really enjoy Return to Tomorrow, it is a virtual steam of consciousness, and a lot of detail. The only thing missing is pictures, but they explain why that is, and it allowed for a whole lot more text. These two books will make wonderful companion pieces. I feel my Bluray of TMP getting played soon

Those who knew humanity continued after 1973.

In the good old days (5+ years ago) I would have snapped this book up in a heartbeat, but with today's...limitations on my life, can't quite justify it. frown

I wrote a review of the book for TrekMovie.

Thanks, Neil.

I don't have a coffee table but I'll get the book, regardless.

Am I the only one who thinks "There is no comparison" is the silliest movie tagline of all time?
