KNIVES OUT---character posters released from the Rian Johnson murder mystery movie show Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer and Jamie Lee Curtis. Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, and Chris Evans also star.









GHOSTBUSTERS 2020---Dan Aykroyd confirmed he will appear in the sequel, “We’ve got the Ghostbusters movie that we’re working on now and I will have to be performing in that. Ivan Reitman’s son Jason has written a new movie called, well, it’s gonna be Ghostbusters, the third movie. It will be all, most of the original people and then young stars.”





THE MOSQUITO COAST---Justin Theroux stars in this Apple TV+ series based on the novel written by his uncle, Paul Theroux. The 1986 movie based on the novel starred Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren and River Phoenix.





THE GOLDFINCH---the movie based on the novel made only $2.6 million on its opening weekend, which is one of the worst openings ever. Warner Bros. is projected to lose $50 million.

FOOL'S DAY---Margot Robbie is in negotiations to star in this comedy movie about a fourth grade class that accidentally kills its teacher in an April Fools Day prank that goes awry and then must hide the body before it is discovered.

THE BURNT ORANGE HERESY---Claes Bang, Elizabeth Debicki, Donald Sutherland and Mick Jagger star in this movie about an art dealer who is hired to steal a valuable painting.

SURVIVE---Quibi tv series underway starring Sophie Turner and Corey Hawkins as the survivors of a plane crash on a remote, snow-covered mountain.

SETTING IT OFF---remake underway of the 1996 heist movie that starred Vivica A. Fox and Jada Pinkett Smith.

JUPITER'S LEGACY---showrunner Steven S. DeKnight left the Netflix series based on the graphic novel due to creative differences.

FUNKO POP---Warner Bros. Animation movie underway based on the Funko Pop figures.

THE TITAN GAMES---NBC renewed the series for Season 2.

TRIVIA---today is the 75th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, the Allied invasion of Holland which was supposed to end World War II in Europe early. The story of the disastrous Allied invasion was told in A BRIDGE TOO FAR. Director Richard Attenborough had an uncredited cameo as one of the lunatics in a lunatic asylum, who escaped when the asylum was accidentally bombed.

IN A BRIDGE TOO FAR, Richard Attenborough directed Robert Redford and Michael Caine.

I don't know about that lunatic. He looks about 20+ years younger than Dickie. I love the film though.

I read the following about Bill Murray:

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet. Bill Murray has a known pattern of unpredictable behavior. He has no agent or manager. He created a 1-800 number for people to offer him roles. It’s not easy to get and he does not regularly check it for messages. Directors never are sure if he is actually going to do their movies until he physically shows up on his first day.

So beyond the usual secrecy, I imagine that is why I doubt we will hear an official announcement on him until it’s an absolute sure thing.

Yeah, and the one in front of the possible "dickie" is Willem Dafoe!! smile
