So, I just ordered an animated film I'd been after for some time because it was on sale here in Canada for $22.99CAD. The film was Patema Inverted - I still sadly have not seen it, even though it was allegedly delivered on Friday.

When it arrived it had no slip cover, and it appeared to have been RE shrink-wrapped. Inside the disc was upside down. Flipping it over revealed it was a DVD for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. WtheActualF?

(you can see some of the original plastic still on the case...

I posted this here because one, you can have a good laugh at my expense. And two - if you do order something from Amazon and it doesn't look right - make sure you open it up to make sure you got the correct item.

They've accepted my request to return it which I will mail back tomorrow - and a replacement is already on its way.

Stay tuned to see what's inside the next one! If it's not the genuine article I'm taking bets:

-Chicken Little?
-Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2?
-Drop Dead Fred?

Will report back soon...LOL.

Did you purchase it directly from Amazon or from an Amazon third party seller? Also are you sure you purchased a brand new factory sealed copy or a used copy?

It was bought from Amazon Canada Inc. and it was a brand new copy - not marketplace - I do know the difference, which is why I was so surprised. smile

I purchased a factory sealed copy and that's what I expected to receive - but the re-wrapped hilarity above was not that at all.
