Is it Blade Runner Day? The timeline was never narrowly specified.

Oh, "TV history". My statement still stands.

Duel aired on this date in 1971.

Best movie for that day, still underrated in Spielberg's library. Weaver really grabbed the picture full-on with his anxiety the way he kept acting-up you could think he would be killed early-on, who's next, I love it far more the way he cruised-on down high-ways, Weaver, quality screen actor, & without Goldenberg's music it wouldn't of been possible too love it this much his skilful blends of roguish colours fit perfectly cruising or stationary, the 1st time I saw Duel it was that crafty atmosphere brewing it was so unpredictable listening too boldness & beauty it really vents moods & naughty paces so much.

Imaginary Friend: "I want to see a good movie today!"
Me: "Me, too!"
IF: "So, let's go see the bazillionth Fast and Furious movie!"
Me: "Oh. I thought you said 'Good'. I was thinking of 'Duel'. Tell you what, you go see theatrical polished shit and I'll just stay here and see 'Duel' again."

Personally. I've never seen one of them movies because I know there a waste of time, no intensity, well maybe, but over-done & damp-sponge actors, Duel was SIMPLE just Weaver vs Truck that does for me over any road-movie, fact.

I've had the displeasure of seeing scenes and then more from reviews and commentary videos on CinemaSins (they especially hate these films; if you need a good laugh, check them out!), Nostalgia Critic and probably others.

If you were paid that's cool, otherwise, I pity you Justin, I hate most road-movies they don't have a great element too begin with, so the cast needs to be picked carefully too reward it, Hitcher was great was it not.

For shame!

"ON NOVEMBER 13th FELIX UNGER WAS ASKED TO REMOVE HIMSELF FROM HIS PLACE OF RESIDENCE"

(And thank you, Mr. Hefti, for a most memorable theme)

That's interesting - as a kid, I never realized how odd it was to mention a specific date. Along with the narrator's voice, it's reminiscent of the end narration in the Dragnet show, so maybe it was an absurd parody of that.

The Hitcher remake ugh, smile you can't top Rutger Hauer or its cast. When Halsey opened that door I knew he'd get a rough-ride. Rutger plays a great screen villain maybe its his looks & emotions, he wasn't very emotional in The Hitcher but he didn't need too, he gave every-one pure hell.

Literally couldn't list more than 20 road-movies since cinema begun that I've seen & loved, its a thin genre the actors have to be world-class too impress, I don't dig fast-car movies either, obviously McQueen's different he was a colourful guy quite a rough personality that mix suited his screen time.
