How are sales coming along? I'm aiming to get this ASAP and I don't want to miss out.

BTW - the set is nothing short of FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!

Doing better than expected, at least at Kritzerland, but haven't heard from most of my online dealer types, save for SAE.

Ray faiola - here are some improved blu rays (and some not improved)
Razors edge - Perfect
Ghost and Mrs. Muir - Perfect
David and Bathsheba - always good sound here - and a first - The marriage procession music is perfectly edited over the reel change !!!!! Not a note missing and in time. this has never happened before.
Song of Bernadette - Twilight time - vastly improved sound from the sd.
Keys of the kingdom - not quite as good as the sd.
My Cousin Rachel - Twilight time - Awful !!!!! Avoid like the plague.

It has beenbreifly mentioned, but how were the additional tracks for David and Bathsheba found - what format were they on?

I honestly don't recall, Joe. Ron Fuglsby was working behind the scenes at Fox and things would just surface as the studio dug deeper and barcoded elements, etc. That's how an alternate source for The Egyptian was found as well. I generally didn't know the particulars about "how" additional material was found.

Just got this and ripped to iTunes. Uh...Disc 1, The Black Swan, indicates 17 tracks but there are 19. Listening to it now, I'm puzzled what tracks are actually what. Bruce, is there an updated track listing somewhere? Sounds like Track 19, for instance is actually the Finale, listed as Track 17. Can you elucidate us, please?

Oh, and the release is great, by the way. Sound quality is first rate!

Right you are - trying to figure it out, but I'm guessing the second to final file was accidentally sent to the printers. It happens. Here's what it should be.

15. Jamie’s “Bride”
16. Maracaibo
17. Morning in the Honeymoon Cabin
18. Attack on Maracaibo
19.. Finale

I just put disc one into iTunes and it's absolutely correct there as is the meta data on the CD itself. Just to booklet with the misprint.

Odd. When I put the CD in, iTunes didn't recognize it and I put the track names in manually. That's the only reason I noticed! Thanks for the clarification.

The description on Kritzerland still shows 17 tracks, as well as the track list pdf, so it's not just an error on the insert.
Mother said there'd be days like this.

Yes, he used the older file to make the web page because that was prepared in advance of us noticing the problem and fixing it - really, let's not make a huge deal out of this. We're making a booklet-sized PDF of the right list and anyone who would like it can get one via e-mail and place it in the booklet - kind of an errata slip.

Got my copy today too. Looks wonderful. Just started to play THE BLACK SWAN. Much improved sound quality. Very interesting 24 page booklet and a touching tribute to Nick Redman. A must-buy for Golden Age fans and all who appreciate real film scoring by the master Alfred Newman. Hope it's a sell-out! Thanks Bruce. smile

Back again. I started with Disc 4 PRINCE OF FOXES and THE GUNFIGHTER for today. I have already mentioned my love for Alfred Newman's very short score for THE GUNFIGHTER. A far larger work of sublime beauty is PRINCE OF FOXES and it is with an additional 20 minutes that wasn't on the FSM release so long ago. Absolutely loved it. Tomorrow I will find another delight in this set.

Glad folks are enjoying!

Anyone who'd like the PDF errata slip of the corrected CD 1 track list, just e-mail us at the usual Kritzerland gmail address and I'll send it along.

The Track 2 title could do with correcting at the same time. It should be "Foreword", not "Forward".

I guess Basil and I will be added to an "irritata" slip.

This is a great set that I am enjoying greatly, so much music that is new to me! I'm hoping that there might also album covers specific to each movie that might turn up in the Custom Covers thread...

The Trailer music for The Gunfighter (Disc 4, Track 28) sounds very familiar. What was it used for originally?

It was also used in YELLOW SKY in 1948.
