Hi Steve Sorry for my english, but I try it I was a few month ago, im May, in Tokyo. Tokyo, Japan generelly, have still some CD and Vinyl Shops and Second Hand Shops. Ark Square is ONLY a ONLINE shop. I contactet them before i went to Tokyo. The best adress for Soundtracks will be TOWER RECORDS in Tokyo or the different Shops of DISC UNION in Tokyo, for example near Shinjuku or Shibuya - good luck :-) - greetings from Switzerland

I went last year and it's heaven for film music fans. Disk Union has great selection of scores, from specialty labels, and also local film music. Shinjuku has a few, check this map: I visited also many Book Off stores in Tokyo and Kyoto, always found something interesting with huge anime music shelfs and also local film music. Not many foreign soundtrack releases there. My only tip is that if you're looking for specific releases, try to bring a list with the release number code (VCL-666, etc) because you can easily get lost with everything in japanese (specially at Book Off stores). Or maybe memorize the covers, but with the number you may ask the staff for help. Tower Records is great, all the new releases are there, but not cheap.

Disc Union is absolutely amazing, the coolest soundtrack store I've been in since the late, lamented Footlight Records. They've got CD's from all over the world, an an awesome fellow there named Natsuhiko Shimada. A real highlight of my Tokyo trip!

That would seem to be the one! I can tell you that the soundtrack and movie selection is on the third floor. It's super confusing finding stores in the awesome area. But I'd likely call when you get there and ask for Natsuhiko, who speaks English
